Molecular biology research group investigating the human fungal pathogen Candida albicans is looking for a highly motivated research assistant. The successful applicant will work in the Institute for Molecular Infection Biology (IMIB) at the University of Würzburg ( starting in Summer 2015. Initial appointment will be for 2 years (with extension possible).
The successful applicant must have excellent organizational skills and experience working in a modern molecular biology laboratory. S/he should be proficient in standard laboratory techniques such as cell culture, nucleic acid purification and PCR. Experience handling laboratory mice is highly desirable. Applicants must have good knowledge of English. Salary will follow the TV-L scale.

The Research Center Infectious Diseases was founded in 1993 as an interdisciplinary institution at the Medical Faculty of the University of Würzburg. A young investigator programme on infectious diseases research was initiated at the University of Würzburg. Four research groups work in different fields of infectious disease research.
