Laboratory Technician (BTA) m/f

In your role, you will support the characterization of new innovative Positron Emission Tomography (PET)-imaging tracers.

Your key responsibilities
  • Performance of cell culture experiments as well as cell and biochemical assays including binding and competition assays and tracer uptake studies. Establishment of new assays.
  • In-vivo/ ex-vivo experiments with animals incl. tumor cell inoculation, biodistribution, imaging
  • Immuno-histochemical analysis of tissue samples, (micro)autoradiography
  • Planning, performance, analysis and recording of experimental data
Your qualification
  • Successful apprenticeship as “Biologie-Laborant/in” or “Technische/r Assistent/in” or Bachelor or Masters in Life Sciences, preferable with focus in Neuroscience or Oncology
  • Substantial hands-on experience with cell culture and biochemical assays as well as assay development
  • Extensive experience with immuno-histochemical techniques and (micro)autoradiography
  • Experience with handling radioactivity is a big advantage
  • Animal handling skills as documented by appropriate certificates
  • Ability to learn new technology and concepts and apply appropriately with limited supervision
  • Excellent command of English language (both written and spoken)
Work in an international team in a stimulating research environment and with well equipped laboratories. The position is available immediately and is limited to two years.
