Requirements Engineer*

Here, you’ll achieve greatness.

At BioNTech you serve as an interface between the laboratory departments and the software development teams. As a process expert, you will support the validation of computer-aided systems with regard to process-oriented and regulatory requirements. Your duties in detail:
  • Survey, analysis and concretisation of system requirements regarding laboratory processes, regulatory requirements and technical possibilities
  • Support of software development through cross-departmental, subject-related communication (e.g. in workshops) with stakeholders and participating departments
  • Assistance in the creation and execution of test cases for computer-aided systems in regulated environments based on requirements and specifications for verifiable quality assurance
  • Error analysis with solution-oriented communication to the software development teams (internal and external partners)

What you have to offer.

  • Completed studies in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or bioinformatics, with knowledge in molecular biological techniques (e.g. extraction of nucleic acids, NGS, in vitro transcription) or similar qualification
  • IT affinity and experience in dealing with enterprise information systems (e.g. LIMS and MES) in a regulated environment (e.g. GCLP) are advantageous
  • Good understanding of requirements and expectations of end users
  • High ability to comprehend, to communicate and a high degree of personal initiative
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
