Research Associate (f/m), Assay Development   (Ref: 3100RAAS1511jv)


Key Tasks:
Development, optimization, characterization and validation of various analytical methods compliant to international guidelines, e.g. to quantify/investigate vaccine-specific humoral and/or cell-mediated immune response by ELISA (including multiplex), cell-based neutralization tests, by flow cytometry and ELISPOT
  • Standard cell culture techniques for permanent cell lines and primary cells
  • Planning and execution of experiments that involves detailed observations, data analysis, and interpretation of results
  • Method transfer and training of colleagues in analytical procedures
  • Preparation, presentation and reporting of results within the team
  • Routine maintenance of laboratory devices
  • Preparation of technical documents like SOPs

Requirements:
  • Biological laboratory assistant/technician qualifications e.g. MTA, BTA, CTA, PTA, or under-graduate academic education in the bio/life sciences preferably with immunology/vaccine development
  • Industry experience would be very advantageous
  • Experience in cell-based and immunological analytical methods including standard cell culture techniques
  • Preferably experience in Flow Cytometry and/or Luminex or other multiplex technologies
  • Preferably experience in virology/immunology
  • Preferably experience in development, optimization and validation of analytical methods compliant to international guidelines
  • Great willingness to work in a team
  • Good experience in MS-office
    Good English communication skills preferred
  • Well developed understanding and application skills with modern IT and bio/immuno-laboratory devices
