The University Hospital of Münster is one of the leading hospitals in Germany. Such a position cannot be achieved by size and medical successes alone. The individual commitment counts above all. We need your commitment so that even with little things we can achieve great things for our patients. There are many possibilities open for you so that you may develop with them.
In the Institute for Cell Dynamics and Imaging of the University of Münster, Germany we are looking for
Postdoctoral positions Ref.: 10355 TV-L E13 Research Scientist
Our institute is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to study the mechanisms of cell organization and dynamics using soft-lithography, 3D-printing and micro fluidics techniques. In particular, the goal is to characterize the interplay of mechanical forces and oxidative stress during morphogenesis and differentiation of mammalian cells in 3D-environments. We are an interdisciplinary team of biologists, physicists and computer scientists and combine classical molecular biology, cell biology and genetics with high-end light microscopy, quantitative image analysis and mathematical modeling. Our studies in yeast and mammalian cells address fundamental features of cell organization and dynamics, such as self-organization, active transport and mechanical stability.
We offer a scientifically inspiring environment with great opportunities for collaborative projects at the interface between different disciplines. Interested candidates should have a strong background in bioengineering. Additional experience in cell biology, biophysics or informatics/computational biology are a plus. Well-developed communication skills, and a strong motivation to work in an international team on exciting topics in cell biology are required. For any questions, feel free to contact Roland Wedlich-Söldner at firstname.lastname@example.org or check the homepage of our institute http://www.campus.uni-muenster.de/celldyn.html and the Cells in Motion (CiM) cluster of excellence https://www.uni-muenster.de/Cells-in-Motion/latest/2013/12-06.html.
