TRON is expanding its multidisciplinary Animal Models & Imaging Unit, which has exceptional experience in cancer immunotherapy research. To expand our scientific knowledge and expertise, we are searching for a
 
PhD Student “Neo-epitope specific T cells” (m/f)

to join our research team.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
  • Retroviral transduction and in vitro analysis (e.g. Flow cytometry, ELISpot) of murine T cells
  • Immunization of mice, isolation of specific TCRs (including NGS and cloning) as well as in vitro and in vivo validation
  • Testing adoptive transfer of cancer specific T cells
  • Dissecting and manipulating the Mode of Action of adoptively transferred T cells
  • Participation in the TRON international PhD program

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
  • Master degree in Biology, Biomedicine or comparable discipline
  • Profound knowledge in immunology, tumor biology and molecular biology
  • Fluent English skills
  • Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Self-starter able to work effectively in an agile start-up environment
  • Enthusiastic team player seeking to understand and advance personalized medicine

Desired experience and knowledge
  • Experience in cell culture techniques
  • Experience in basic & molecular immunology and immunotherapy techniques
  • Profound knowledge in T cell immunology
  • Experience in murine models of cancer
  • FELASA B certificate would be a plus
