Primary Role
Responsible for developing and closing new prospects, and following up with existing customers to increase sales of IntegenX instruments and consumables. The sales representative will identify key decision makers for purchasing the products, as well as identify funding sources, buying process, and key influencers within the assigned territory. The sales representative will need to bring key decision makers together, inspire a vision of what the IntegenX solution provides, make rapid DNA testing a priority in the targeted sales area, and represent the product professionally. This high level selling position necessitates customer facing time of at least 50% of time, with balance of time making appointments, planning territory based tactics and monthly reporting. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The European Sales Representative reports directly to the European Business Director (based in Germany).

Primary Responsibilities
  • Capital equipment sales experience to meet or exceed assigned sales quota of IntegenX products within territory
  • Develops, implements and manages sales activities to maximize sales of assigned products
  • Communicates territory status through regular organized meetings, written communications and telephone contact
  • Develops and tracks performance goals for the assigned territory and effectively addresses and resolves issues
  • Communicates regularly with Marketing colleagues regarding product performance and activities
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
  • Facilitates resolution of customer issues by demonstrating a strong broad base of knowledge in business processes, IntegenX products and domain expertise
  • Maintains technical competence on IntegenX products, competitive products and the marketplace through attendance of training meetings and industry conferences and online and offline research
  • Works with Marketing team to identify and document target customer needs and product configuration implementation strategies
Job Skills
  • Proven sales experience, ideally experience selling capital equipment, a plus would be experience selling AFIS, RapidDNA profile, Facial Recognition or other biometrics technology
  • Preferably experience selling in publically funded markets, such as State and Federal government, involving numerous call points
  • Organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize and to drive and manage various projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills, in English and at least one additional language
  • Demonstrated ability in working to achieve and exceed goals, and independently driving results
  • Able to work in cross-functional teams and across multiple time-zones (EMEA team and customers, US team in California)
  • Academic background in biology/chemistry/engineering preferred
  • 2-5 years’ experience directly selling capital equipment and/or consumables and managing customer accounts & KOL relationships
  • Existing network of contacts in European police / military / security space would be a plus
  • Experience with CRM such as salesforce.com
  • Fluent English and German, ideally additional languages
