Your Tasks and Responsibilities

The Antibody Development Team supports other teams within the organization by providing various recombinant proteins (e.g. monoclonal antibodies, engineered molecules, ligands or receptors) of highquality in an on-demand fashion. You will further strengthen our team with your expertise in protein analytics. Your responsibilities will include the following tasks
  • Biophysical characterization of protein preparations by SDS PAGE, SEC, IEX
  • Development and optimization of protein analytical methods
  • Purification of recombinant proteins by chromatographicmethodsvia semi-automated systems
  • Basic functional characterization of proteinpreparations by, e.g., ELISAor FACS
  • Biochemical and enzymatic manipulation of proteins

Who you are

You are a person who is well-organized, service-oriented, thorough, reliable and diligent in his/her task completion. You are a highly motivated and independent individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is effective at working in a collaborative and diverse environment. You hold a degree in biology, biotechnology or related fields, or have a completed vocational training as laboratory assistant such as BTA, MTA, CTA or equivalent, with
  • Proven experience in a broad range of protein analytical methods
  • Independent setup,programming and handling of HPLC systems
  • Thorough understanding and practical know-how in protein purification
  • Hands on experience in biochemical and molecular biology techniques
  • Basic expertise in cell culture techniques is useful
  • High sense of responsibility for product quality and appropriate documentation
  • Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
