Students m/f for Bachelor/Master Thesis in Battery & HT Co-Electrolysis Research

The DECHEMA-Forschungsinstitut (DFI) is a non-profit foundation based in Frankfurt am Main in Germany. We carry out fundamental and applied research in the field of Materials, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. The research institute has a 50 year track record of successful research and collaboration with both industry and academia. It is associated with the Society of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology DECHEMA e.V. with more than 5,500 private and institutional members, among them scientists, engineers, and companies.

The Chemical Technology group is looking for bachelor/master students who are willing to contribute on the development of post-lithium-ion systems such as Al-ion, metal/air batteries and of the high-temperature co-electrolysis in the frame of an international (EU) and a national (BMBF) project, respectively.

Your tasks will principally focus on the synthesis/preparation of electrode materials and their electrochemical characterization under half-cell and full-cell configuration. Founded backgrounds in chemical engineering, chemistry or materials science are expected. Further skills in electrochemistry are welcome by not a must.

We will offer you a unique opportunity to actively contribute to an exciting but also very challenging research project within an experimented scientist team. We will provide you a financial support for maximum six months and eventually an accommodation in our guest house as well. Please feel free to contact Dr. J.-F.
