Market Manager – Life Science

Parker Hannifin EMEA Sàrl (“PHES”), based in Etoy, Switzerland, is the Principal Operating Company for Parker in the EMEA region. It is supported by a network of Parker Manufacturing Divisions and Sales Company Entities. The Fluid Connectors Group EMEA is a strategic business Group within PHES. The Low Pressure Connectors Division EMEA (LCDE)  is a key service provider to PHES.

Activities and responsibilities

Inventor of push-to-connect technology, we constantly strive to design, manufacture and customize easy-to-assemble innovative fluid handling solutions distributed anywhere across the globe. We built a solid competitive advantage becoming a top & profitable player of the Industrial & Processing markets through strong Distribution channels (Legris Connectic, Rectus & Transair brands) and we are now targeting the Transportation and Life Sciences markets.

In this role, whilst reporting directly to the Transportation and Life Science Business unit Manager, your role will considt of:
 
  • Deploy L&S strategy to build long term profitable growth with Medical, Lab - Diagnosis equipment manufacturers in EMEA.
  • Lead all pre sales & business development activities, in close relationship with Parker dedicated sales structure (Sales leaders from EMEA sales companies, Key Accounts & Global Account managers for Top Customers).
  • Be an ambassador of a Marketing pull strategy: “sell” Division capabilities to targeted customers, demonstrate value of the engineered solutions, introduce new product features and benefits, facilitate relationship between Customers & Division teams to win projects.
  • In close relationship with the BU Marketing team, detect new L&S applications or market needs that drives fluid management innovation (Interview, listen & identify customer pains).
  • Follow up existing portfolio, manage customer relationship and facilitate problem solving of potential issues.
  • Contribute to the BU day to day life (Request for Quotation inquiries, pre project follow up, market Pricing process, centric customer service management) with the goal to speed up time to market and guarantee expected deadlines/deliverables.

Qualification profile

We would like to hear from you if you have:
  • A Master degree in Engineering and/or Business combined with 5-10 + years of experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or Business Development acquired in the Life Science industry, ideally within an OEM manufacturer, sub system or components supplier.
  • Fluency in English and German is mandatory whilst being fluent in French would be considered as a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams
  • Entrepreneur attitude and team spirit.
  • Availability to travel extensively.
