The University of Luxembourg is a multilingual, international research University.
To ensure its continuous development, the University of Luxembourg is seeking to make an appointment for the following position:
Medical programme developer (m/f)
  • Ref: F4C-MSC-COM-130000
  • Fixed-term contract for 2 years, 40 hours/week
  • Employee status

The University of Luxembourg is currently carrying out a feasibility study with regard to a Bachelor’s (i.e. preclinical) and potentially a Master’s (i.e. clinical) course in medicine. There are also related developments in research and teaching in other parts of life sciences as well as throughout the University.  
Reporting to the Vice-president for Research, the successful candidate will contribute to all of these developments. This is an opportunity to contribute to the progress of a young and upcoming University.  
Main activities
  • Cost calculation and design of administrative structures for a new medical school 
  • Translate existing preliminary curriculum into a study programme in medicine and draw up quality criteria with respect to the lecturers and teaching materials
  • Examine and analyse relevant internal and external developments,
  • Discuss, negotiate and develop new study programme or modules in collaboration with other institutes and partners
  • Submit study programme for approval to the management team and report periodically on its progress
  • Prepare and attend meetings with hospital staff, government representatives and international experts
  • Other activities as instructed by the Vice President for Research
  • Diploma in medicine or related degree (e.g. medical education)
  • Experience in study programme development, in particular in medicine
  • Acceptance not to practice clinical medicine
  • Fluency in English, good knowledge of French, German is considered an asset
