Postdoctoral research fellow
Postdoctoral research fellow
starting as soon as possible, temporarily limited for 1 year with the perspective of a prolongation. Salary and benefits are according to a public service position in Germany(TV-H, E 13).
The position will be available in the research group “autoimmune diseases of the skin” which focuses on basic immunological mechanisms in preclinical autoimmune models and provides the opportunity of translational “bench to bedside” studies. The project addresses the identification of immune mechanisms leading to tolerance induction in an animal model of a blis-tering autoimmune disease of the skin (pemphigus) which is considered as a model of auto-immunity in general.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who is interested in immunology, cell biology and skin physiology. Applicants with a PhD in a relevant research area, preferentially with an immunological background, who are willing to take over responsibility in our research group are invited. Experiences in working with experimental animal models and in supervising young researchers are expected. As the project mandates close interaction with non-scientific personnel and administrative aspects, an adequate knowledge of the German language would be desirable.
We support women and particularly invite them to apply. In areas where women are un-derrepresented, female applicants will be preferred in case of equal qualifications. Appli-cants with children are welcome – the Philipps-University is certified as a family friendly uni-versity. Sharing a full-time position (§ 8 Abs. 2 S. 1 HGlG) as well as a reduction of working time is possible. Applicants with a disability as described in SGB IX (§ 2 Abs. 2, 3) will be preferred in case of equal qualifications.
As the documents will not be returned after end of the selection procedure, please do not send originals. Application and interview costs can not be refunded.
Applications (reference fb20-0153-wmz-2015) should include a letter of motivation, statement of interest, meaningful curriculum vitae and transcripts of academic qualifications and be sent by e-mail and not later than 23.10.2015 to the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Dermatology and Allergology, attn. Imke Eichenauer Baldingerstr, 35043 Marburg or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
