Research Assistant (f, m, d) Mechanical and/or Drilling Engineering (TV-L E13, 100%, fixed term)

The scientific work at the Drilling Simulator Celle focuses on the simulation of the drilling process by utilizing both software and hardware facilities. Therefore, the software simulator at the DSC shall be enhanced for a more realistic simulation experience as part of a project funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).

Activities and responsibilities

The main task will be the enhanced modelling of the drilling process for a real-time simulation.

Qualification profile

You have graduated from a university with a Master or Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering and have advanced knowledge in Drilling Technology. Otherwise a degree in Drilling Engineering with knowledge in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in the area of drilling and modelling is needed.

Benefits

The salary and the benefits are set according to public service regulations in Germany (TV-L). Depending on personal prerequisites, payments up to E13 will be possible. The work locations are Celle and Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
