Laboratory Engineer (m/w/d) in Research & Development for High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

What will you do

  • Involvement in the development of high-performance mass spectrometry instrumentation and related technologies in a highly motivated, multi-national, and cross-disciplinary team in Bremen, Germany
  • Operation and maintenance of HPLC systems connected to a mass spectrometer with a focus on nano- and capillary-LC
  • Selection and installation of new laboratory equipment and procurement of consumables
  • Active participation in long-term quality control LC/MS experiments including data processing and documentation of the results
  • Sample preparation for proteomics and small molecules applications
  • Execution of verification & validation tests within new product development Projects

What we are looking for

  • University degree in engineering, mechatronics, physics, or equivalent education, or technician with relevant work experience
  • Deep hands-on experience and expertise with HPLC instrumentation, especially with nano- and capillary LC
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot HPLC equipment with a focus on nano- and capillary LC connected to a mass spectrometer
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Good communication and teamwork skills with a high level of assertiveness
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and German
