Research Associate in Molecular Oncology (Postdoc Scientist)

Salary and benefits are according to the German Public Service salary scale E 13 TV-H, and commensurate with experience.

The position offers the possibility to work in a team of experienced postdocs, students and technicians on a project dealing with the chemoresistance of tumor cells in human ovarian cancer and the contribution by tumor-associated macrophages. The project is carried out as a joint project between groups of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Tumor Research (IMT) and the Clinic for Gynecological Oncology and co-funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The project requires the application of a variety of technologies, including cell culture of primary tumor and immune cells, transcriptome analyses, functional RNAi and drug-based assays and flow cytometry.

The position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent in biomedical sciences, a strong research back-ground in tumor and immune biology, experience in the techniques mentioned above, especially flow cytometry, and fluency in English. We are looking for a coworker with good communication skills to join an ongoing project.
