The research group of Assoc. Prof. Frédéric Laquai at the Solar and Photovoltaics Engineering Research Center (SPERC), part of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, is looking for internship students in the field of organic solar cells and ultrafast laser spectroscopy, who would like to join an exciting and ambitious scientific environment and work on emerging photovoltaic technologies for a minimum period of 6 weeks up to 6 months.

Students from Chemistry, Physics, Material Science or related disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply. Current research topics cover, but are not limited to: Solar cell preparation and characterization, ultrafast (femtosecond) transient absorption spectroscopy, time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy, studies of exciton and charge carrier dynamics in PV materials, charge transport studies, and related topics.
KAUST is a young and very international University with state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities. The Solar Research Center (SPERC) focuses on PV material development, device preparation and performance evaluation, new material processing schemes, photophysical studies by advanced optical and electro-optical spectroscopy and microscopy techniques, and theoretical descriptions of fundamental processes in PV devices.
