Scientist / Post-Doc

The full time position is initially limited to two years (with possible extension). The position is paid according to the German pay scale TV-L 13.
Your Tasks:
You will develop computer programs to explore the molecular mechanisms of tumors. The project is part of a BMBF-funded research consortium in systems medicine (e: Med). The consortium aims to improve personalized diagnosis and therapy of lymphomas (http://www.sys-med.de/de/demonstratoren/spalte2/mmml-demonstrators/). You will develop your computer programs based on biological high-throughput data, which are then validated using patient data and experiments of your cooperation partners in the consortium. Strong interdisciplinary communication skills are essential.

Our Requirements:
- PhD in Physics-Deep understanding of scientific principles
- Knowledge in R, Matlab or another programming language
- Experience in the analysis of complex data
- Expert in writing scientific texts in English (German language skills are a plus)
