Atmospheric plasma spraying

The position is limited to 3 years / Weekly working time 26 hours / TV-L Ost wage group E13.

Activities and responsibilities

  • You characterize an atmospheric plasma spraying process;
  • You investigate and develop plasma processes for the deposition of coatings by means of the above process;
  • You perform plasma diagnostics and inspect the modified surfaces with modern analysis techniques (e.g., XPS, FT-IR, SEM, white light interferometry, ellipsometry, etc.);
  • You carry out investigations in close cooperation with institutional and industrial partners.

Qualification profile

  • Successfully completed university studies as a scientist or engineer (physics, chemistry, electrical engineering or related fields)
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of plasma physics, thin-film technology
  • High level of commitment, working independently and teamwork
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
