PhD Position (m/f) - Fluid Dynamics, Pattern Formation and Biocomplexity

The Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization at Göttingen, Germany, is an international research institute. It performs both experimental and theoretical fundamental scientific research and currently employs about 250 people.

starting immediately or at the earliest convenience.

The position is available for up to 36 months at Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in Göttingen, for numerical and theoretical investigation of turbulent thermal convection.

The candidate must have a master’s degree in Physics, Geophysics, Mechanical Engineering or Applied Mathematics and must have an experience in high performance scientific computing. Furthermore a good command of the English language is essential, German is an asset.
