Student (m/f/d) for a Master's Thesis in Economics, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
Activities and responsibilities
- You research the evolution of aircraft (A/C) production capacities and its impact on fleet transition towards future fuel types and net-zero targets
- To this end, a review for current and historic A/C production capacities should be undertaken and stored in a suitable data format
- Important questions to consider when forecasting production capacities are likely future A/C types (esp. in terms of energy carrier), substitution effects of current A/C production, as well as adoption rates across different market regions
- To round up your master’s thesis, different evolution pathways could be modelled for a range of scenarios, taking into account alternative energy carriers, e.g. LH2, SAF or fuel cells, and the interaction with manufacturing ramp-up and entry-into-service dates
Qualification profile
- You are an enrolled university student (m/f/d) in economics, aerospace or mechanical engineering, or a related field
